The Massachusetts Teachers Association is a union, dedicated to improving the workplace and the quality of life for all education employees and to protecting their hard-won rights. Equally important, we are an association of highly qualified professionals, committed to establishing and maintaining optimal conditions for student learning from preschool through graduate school. NEA, MTA and local affiliates are highly democratic organizations in which members' views and concerns are vital to the development of policies and programs. We really do work together for public education.
Team Harmony
Team Harmony is committed to educating, inspiring and engaging youth in the battle against all forms of hate. Founded in 1994, Team Harmony is a nationally recognized multicultural forum, uniting youth of all backgrounds in their efforts to effect social justice for all people. Our primary goal is to support year-round engagement, coalition building, and organizing efforts of students as they work to develop diverse coalitions and encourage collaboration across differences. We believe supporting coalition building amongst youth of all races, ethnicities, religions, socio-economic statuses, orientations, legal status will serve to build bridges and further enhance student efforts to organize and create positive change in their schools and communities. Team Harmony is a program of Empower Peace, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Through a global network of students and schools, Empower Peace is providing the next generation with the opportunities and tools needed to build cultural competencies, advance mutual respect and understanding, to promote peace and to confront the issues of today.
